JOIN OUR
COMMUNITY OF HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCATES

Uganda's youth (under 25 years) make up 77% of the country's population. The youth demographic represent a large economic, political and civil base of Uganda's present and future, and thus deserve to have access to quality, low-barrier human rights education. The Ugandan chapter of The Student Engagement Team (SET Uganda) is a locally registered organization created to extend SET's global network of young human rights educators. SET Uganda aims to promote human rights education through challenge-based learning, deliver low-barrier human rights education to people of all ages, create opportunities for young people to learn and improve employable skills, and empower people to enjoy their fundamental human rights through co-designed community activities. Our volunteers contribute to the design and implementation of the Human Rights Café - an innovative environment for discussion, problem solving and community connection.
