Board of Directors
Open positions: President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, and Member-at-Large (Global)
Commitment: 7 hours a month (One 2-hour board meeting a month, 5 flexible hours for other board responsibilities.)
Responsibilities of the Board: promoting the mission of the organization and understanding its collective purpose, selecting, supporting, and evaluating the performance of the Executive Director, high level strategic and organizational planning, ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management, spearheading fundraising and resource development, approving and monitoring the organization’s projects, programs and services, enhancing the organization’s public image, assessing its own performance as the governing body of the organization, ensuring legal, financial and ethical integrity.
